Easywall was inspired by the need to create safer buildings in earthquake-prone areas, as well as the desire to save energy and reduce waste. The designer, Dawood Karimi Aqdam, envisioned a building material that would not only provide strength and durability but also contribute to a greener future.
What sets Easywall apart from other building materials is its exceptional lightness, weighing only 36 kg/m2. This makes it easy to handle and install, saving time and effort during construction. Additionally, Easywall is designed to be earthquake-resistant, ensuring the safety of occupants in the event of a seismic event.
Another key feature of Easywall is its fire resistance. With a bending strength of 200 kg/cm2, it can withstand high temperatures and prevent the spread of flames, providing crucial protection in case of fire. Furthermore, Easywall is resistant to humidity, making it ideal for areas with high moisture levels.
Sound insulation is another strength of Easywall, with a sound resistance of 38 dB. This ensures a peaceful and quiet environment inside buildings, enhancing the comfort and well-being of occupants.
Easywall also excels in energy efficiency, contributing to sustainable and eco-friendly buildings. With a low thermal resistance of 0.904 m2.K/W and a temperature coefficient of 1.11 W/(m2.K), it helps to regulate indoor temperatures, reducing the need for excessive heating or cooling. This results in significant energy savings and a smaller carbon footprint.
One of the most remarkable aspects of Easywall is its composition. Made entirely from mineral elements, it is a go-green product that is free from asbestos and harmful substances. This makes it a safe and environmentally friendly choice for construction projects.
The realization of Easywall involved a meticulous seven-step process, focusing on casting, dimension finding, and the development of the optimal mineral composite formula. The panel is reinforced with a polyethylene mesh and tiny polypropylene fibers, ensuring its strength and durability.
Easywall has been extensively tested and certified for its compressive strength, bending strength, and water absorption. It has proven to be a reliable and high-quality building material that meets the highest standards of safety and performance.
The Easywall project began in January 2009 in Tehran, Iran, and was completed in May 2011. Since then, it has gained recognition and acclaim, being exhibited at prestigious events such as the Tehran Urban Materials and Tehran Confair. In 2013, Easywall was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Building Materials and Construction Components category, further validating its excellence and innovation.
Easywall Mineral Composite Panel is not just a building material; it is a testament to the power of innovation and sustainability in the construction industry. With its unique properties and commitment to safety and efficiency, Easywall is paving the way for a greener and more resilient future.
